The Gothenburg Basketball Festival is not just a tournament – it's a basketball celebration! Since its inception in 1979, the festival has grown to become one of Europe's largest youth basketball tournaments. Every year during Ascension weekend, thousands of players, coaches, and fans gather to fill Gothenburg with energy, joy, and basketball. The tournament is organized by Högsbo Basket together with several clubs throughout the Västra Götaland region.

Participants: over 10,000 from 10–15 countries
Ages: 11–20 years + seniors 20+ & 40
Wheelchair basketball
Matches: approx. 2,200 on 42 courts
Referees: around 180 from 14 countries
Accommodation: 20 schools with classroom accommodation
